Objectives & Goals
The objective of the MSN Nursing program is to increase the knowledge, technical abilities, and skills of nurses. The entire goal of the curriculum is to prepare nurses for more demanding and advanced caretaking situations and conditions. These objectives are realized through:
- Developing into a specialist in advanced nursing practice, education, and/or administration.
- Using personal, empirical, ethical, aesthetic, along with other methods for knowing in reacting significantly and reflectively to calls within advanced practice nursing situations.
- Demonstrating responsibility independent and collaborative nursing practice.
- Addressing the complexities of caring, responsibility, and accountability in the position of leader.
- Creating and developing good healing conditions through personal and professional leadership.
- Articulating and applying professional practices and theories for nurses.
- Initiating systematic inquiry in order to review and advance the discipline of nursing.
